Verify

British regulations require cryptoasset providers to verify their customers. The process doesn’t take long and, after verifying, each purchase will only take a few minutes to complete. All files are securely stored on a LUKS-encrypted air-gapped device. I only ever share information when it is requested by a bank, financial regulator, or the police, during compliance checks or criminal investigations.

The requirements include:

• A photo of an identity document
• A PDF bank statement
• A short video declaration
• A completed application form

📄 Required File 1

A clear photo of your passport’s photo page (most nationalities are accepted), or both sides of a British driving licence / residence permit. Please make sure that all details are clearly visible and that no edges are cut off.

Legal basis: Regulations require me to verify who you are and your geographic ties (nationality / place of birth).

📄 Required File 2

An unmodified PDF bank statement (not a screenshot) downloaded from your banking app or website. This should show:

1. Your name and address
2. The sort code and account number that your payments will come from
3. The last two months of transactions, including your main GBP income payments such as salary/benefits/pension etc.

You can submit statements for as many bank accounts you would like to make payments from, and submit further statements in the future if you decide to pay from a new account. If you intend to buy bitcoin with a different bank account to the one into which you receive your income, or if your GBP comes from savings, you may need to submit a further statement to evidence this.

Legal basis: Regulations require me to verify your holdership of the account(s), your current residential address, and your primary source(s) of GBP.

📄 Required File 3

A ‘selfie’ video of yourself holding up your submitted identity document while reading out these four sentences:

1. “I, [YOUR FULL NAME], am trading crypto via ZedZeroth.com with my own funds and for my own use.”
2. “Nobody else has asked me to make this video or to trade on their behalf.”
3. “I understand exactly what I am doing, and I know that if crypto is stolen then it is gone forever.”
4. “My email accounts, bank accounts, and crypto accounts are all under my full control.”

Legal basis: Regulations require me to verify your ‘liveness’ (that you are who you say you are) and that you are not being pressured into buying crypto by someone else.
